Bible in 90 days:

*Over the next 3 months many of you may experience Ah-ha moments or receive insights while reading the Bible in 90 days.  We encourage you to share them during sharing time and encourage each other with these God moments. 

*We are building a chain in the hallway.  Each link represents verses memorized by our children and adults who successfully complete the reading for the week.  The chain continues to grow.

*Special Giving Opportunities:

*The wicker baskets in the center of the offering plates are for coins to support MCC and the penny power ministry.

ANNOUNCEMENTS & Clippings

*CPT: What happens when a community of local peacemakers and a Christian Peacemaker Team work together for a just peace in the face of violence?  Join Sandra Milena Rincon, Nov. 8, 4-6 p.m. at Oak Grove Mennonite Church, Smithville, to hear about CPT’s work in Colombia as well as the future of transformational peace work.  Sandra is a Colombian Mennonite and spoke at Mennonite World Conference.  Light refreshments will be served; an offering will be taken.

Childcare event: Martins Young Adult Group (CAB--College and Beyond) has a Child Care event planned for Saturday, November 21 at our church from 10 am - 4 pm. We want to give parents some time to spend together and hopefully not worry about their children.  Infants through middle school children are invited.  See events board for information.

The Bible in 90 days:

Watch how God continues to reveal himself.  Keep reading and share with each other the insights you are receiving as you read.  Don’t give up.

Faith Exploration:

CR Leadership invites anyone who desires Baptism/membership to be part of a faith exploration class this fall.  See one of the elders or Pastor Marv for details.

The Annual Meeting of the Ohio Mennonite Relief Sale, is planned for Monday, November 9, 2009 at 7:00 p.m.  The meeting will be held at Sonnenberg Mennonite Church, 14368 Hackett Road.  Refreshments will be served.  We are grateful to God for a great sale, and we need your input to keep it successful.  come help us evaluate the 2009 sale, and give us ideas for future sales.  Thank you.  Ohio Mennonite Relief Sale Board.

Nov. 7:  6:00 p.m. Eberly Barn Party: hayride, hay maize, giant Jenga, & bon fire.  Hotdogs will be provided.  Bring finger foods, desserts or a hot dish to share.  Dress warm.

On Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. at Chestnut Ridge Mennonite;We invite you to experience "Sailing Acts" with Linford and Janet Stutzman.  From May 2004 - Aug. 2005 the Stutzman's lived aboard their sailboat "Sailing Acts" sailing the sea routes and retracing the land routes of the apostle Paul.  Using a multi-media Power Point presentation, they share the adventrue of the voyage interweaving personal learning, theological insights, biblical discovery, challenges and conclusions about Pual, the world and the Christian faith.  Linford teaches at Eastern Mennonite University and Janet also works at EMU in development and church relations.
