*Special Giving Opportunities:

*The wicker baskets in the center of the offering plates are for coins to support MCC and the penny power ministry. One month to go and the jug is half full.

*Church Council made the decision to support Monica Unzicker with $100.00 from the CR Short-term Mission fund for her mission trip to Jamaica.  The team will be gone from July 19-30, 2008.  If you want to contribute additional support for her and the team, mark your gift (Monica U. Team Support) in the offering over the next two Sunday’s.



FUTURE EVENTS:

July 13:  Church Picnic at Camp Luz.  10:00 a.m. worship with the Messenger Quartet.   Carry in meal after worship.  Activities and swimming after lunch.

July 20:  The congregation will be given ballots to affirm the people who have agreed to serve in the various leadership and committee roles for 2008-09.  These people have also been approved by church council.  The list to affirm is in your mailbox today. 

July 24-26, 2008:  VMC Assembly in Harrisonburg, Va.  See Event Board for details. 

August 7: A night at MCC Connections for women and girls.

Aug. 16-17:  Camping/Worship at Bob Wenger’s

Aug. 24:  Annual CR Corn Roast.  Witmer Sweet Corn and carry-in meal.  Mark your Calendar and invite your friends.  (Sunday evening: Time TBD)

Local Mission Opportunity:

Main Street Café in Dalton, is seeking volunteers through out the Summer.  Positions needed are: server, dishwasher, cashier, cleaning and food preparation.  Call Phil & Theresa at 330-828-8855.  See information on the bulletin board.

MCC is appealing for $500,000 to aid the survivors of Cyclone Nargis that devastated Myanmar (Burma) on May 2, 2008.  See the bulletin board for ways to help. 

Used book donations for the August 1 & 2 Ohio Relief Sale may be taken to Central Christian School July 28-30.
